ABOUT CURBIN' CUISINE...

Jarrod and Misty Fontanini reside near Polk City Iowa. They have three daughters, a son in law and one adorable granddaughter. They started Curbin' Cuisine in May 2013 with just a food cart at the Beaverdale Farmer's Market and Beaverdale Fall Festival. Over the next several years, Curbin' Cuisine grew more popular and was repeatedly requested by numerous businesses & event coordinators in Des Moines and in surrounding towns. In January 2015 they expanded their business to a fully equipped Food Truck. In 2018 & 2019 they were voted into the Top Three Best of the Best Food Trucks by City View's Annual Reader's Poll. In June 2019 Jarrod was selected to be apart of the CFN (Culinary Fight Night) event at the Des Moines Social Club. He went head to head with four other esteemed Chefs from the 515.
In October 2019 their dream to have a brick & mortar became a reality. The Fontanini's sold their food truck and returned "home" to Beaverdale where it all began. Opening a few short months before COVID, Curbin' Cuisine adapted to the ever changing restaurant world and overcome several challenges. The Fontanini's never gave up and ensured their employee's had a job and a paycheck! COVID was not going to defeat the Curbin' Crew.
Curbin' Cuisine has won numerous awards over the years: Best New Restaurant in 2020; Best Restaurant for Take Out in 2021; Best Sandwiches, Best Local Area Restaurant, Best Cheap Eats & Best Lunch Spot of 2023.
